ChannelCon 2026

2026 Media Agreement

Contributor will participate in ChannelCon 2026, taking place August 3-5, 2026, as agreed by the Parties, including but not limited to attending keynotes and breakout sessions. Any coverage produced from the event will be referred to herein as “Coverage Content.”

2. Travel Expenses

GTIA will cover Contributor's reasonable travel expenses for the Event, including:

  • Round-trip airfare or ground transportation (economy class unless otherwise approved in writing)
  • Hotel accommodations for three (3) nights concurrent with the event dates. Additional nights must be approved in advance in writing.

Any expenses beyond the foregoing, including meals, incidental charges, and ground transportation at the Event location, are Contributor's sole responsibility unless GTIA approves them in writing in advance. GTIA will book and pay for airfare and hotel directly where possible. For any pre-approved expenses requiring reimbursement, Contributor must submit receipts within thirty (30) days after the Event, and GTIA will reimburse Contributor within thirty (30) days of receipt.

3. Contributor Obligations

Contributor will: (a) make reasonable efforts to attend the Event; and (b) include appropriate disclosure in all Coverage Content that GTIA sponsored Contributor’s travel, consistent with applicable Federal Trade Commission guidelines and any other applicable disclosure requirements.

4. Content Rights

Contributor retains ownership of all Coverage Content. Contributor grants GTIA a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to reproduce, distribute, display, and link to the Coverage Content for GTIA's promotional and informational purposes. GTIA will credit Contributor when using Coverage Content.

5. Independent Contractor

Contributor is an independent contractor. Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment, agency, or partnership relationship. GTIA will not withhold taxes from any payments or reimbursements, and Contributor is solely responsible for any tax obligations arising from this Agreement.

6. Cancellation

(a) If Contributor cancels attendance fewer than fourteen (14) days before the Event for reasons other than those described in Section 6(b), Contributor will reimburse GTIA for any non-refundable travel expenses already incurred on Contributor's behalf.

(b) Contributor will not be expected to reimburse GTIA under Section 6(a) if cancellation is caused by circumstances beyond Contributor’s reasonable control, such as a serious personal or family illness, injury, or bereavement; government-imposed travel restrictions or visa issues; severe weather, natural disasters, or travel disruptions that prevent Contributor from reaching the Event; or other similarly extraordinary circumstances. Contributor should notify GTIA of any such event as soon as reasonably practicable and, if requested, provide reasonable supporting documentation. GTIA retains discretion to determine, on a case-by-case basis, whether reimbursement of any non-refundable travel expenses is appropriate.

(c) If GTIA cancels or postpones the Event, GTIA will bear all non-refundable travel costs.

7. No Obligation to Publish Favorably

Nothing in this Agreement obligates Contributor to provide coverage of the event. Contributor retains full editorial control over the Coverage Content.

8. Limitation of Liability

Neither party will be liable to the other for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from this Agreement. GTIA's total liability under this Agreement will not exceed the total travel expenses paid or reimbursed under Section 2.

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
